Russell Crowe Born 7 April 1964 Wellington, North Island, New Zealand Married to singer/actress Danielle Spencer since April 7 2003. Together they have one child, Charles born December 21 2003. Danielle & Russell co-starred in the 1990 film The Crossing. Russell owns a 560-acre farm in 7.5 hours North-West from Sydney, Australia He's a huge supporter of (NRL) Rugby League team the South Sydney Rabbitohs. Russell turned down the role of Logan/Wolverine in X-Men which eventually went to Hugh Jackman. Good friends with Jodie Foster whom he wrote a song about called "Other Ways of Speaking" with his band, 30 Odd Foot of Grunts. Russell on filming Master & Commander: "I think probably the most dangerous evening was when we found ourselves about 40 miles off the coast at about 9:30 at night trying to do a ship-to-ship transfer of 225 people in 8’ swells. That wasn’t a good look. But you know that’s just one of the things you have to do. It was dealt with very safely and very efficiently, quite frankly." |
