Kimberley on Cold
Feet:
"It's not your everyday comedy. It's not something like Friends,
which glosses over topics and doesn't really go deep into the heart of
life. Friends is all about the punchlines, whereas Cold Feet is dealing
with real life and real issues and it's finding the comedy in that as
well. There's a little bit of nudity and quite a bit of promiscuity, but
I think that's quite true to life. The more I get to know people the more
I see it's quite commonplace. You speak to anybody about their family
and everybody has stories to tell. Nothing's as picture-perfect as it
looks."
Kimberley on Gladiators:
Gladiators is the most exciting event in my life to date. Its
given me the opportunity to show a different side to me and to explore
a new angle in my career. I think it will appeal to a broad range of Australians
- its got a long life!
Kimberley on hosting
Gladiators:
"It was larger than life. It was tough and it was scary because we
filmed it in front of a live audience and although if we messed up we
could go again, you never wanted to because the Australian audiences are
quite unforgiving. You've got people yelling, 'Get me down there! I can
do it better than you.' "
Kimberley on studying
in Switzerland:
I had the best of both worlds. I made friends all around the world,
learnt about different cultures and ways of life yet still had the opportunity
to come home three times a year. Even though I travelled the world and
saw lots of wonderful countries, I also realised how lucky I was to be
living in such a fantastic country as Australia.
Kimberley in 2003
asked where home is:
"I'd love Australia to be home when I get married and have children.
I guess I'm based in LA for work, (but) I wouldn't want to live there,
it's a crazy place, a tough place to live." |
