Lisa Lackey

Born March 2, 1971 Sydney, Australia

aka Elizabeth Lackey

Her introduction to the spotlight came when an agent approached Lackey's mother and suggested Lisa try her hand at television commercials and modeling.

Lackey left home at 17 & signed on with a modelling agency.

In 1995 she went to the United States to continue with her acting career.

Lackey has numerous television credits including C.S.I., Murder, She Wrote, Strong Medicine, Rude Awakening, Sliders, Astoria, The Pretender and Cody.

In Australia, she also portrayed Alexis on the syndicated series Flipper and starred as Roxy Miller in the popular series Home and Away.

Lackey has completed her first semester at university in her pursuit of a degree in social work through Charles Sturt University in Australia.

Lackey was originally cast to play the female lead in the series "John Doe" but was replaced by Jayne Brook ("Chicago Hope").

Lackey on the theatre:
"I am most content when I am on stage pretending to be somebody else."

Lackey on her worst job:
"The worst job I ever had was being a checkout girl. I couldn't handle it at all. I was only there for about a day before I had had enough."

Lackey on modelling:
"I was supposed to call in every day, but I never did, so they nicknamed me Slackey."

Lackey on studying acting:
"I took acting lessons for a few years between modelling and whenever I had the money. I then went for an audition for Home and Away and I got the part. But at the same time, I was due to go to Germany and Japan on modelling assignments."
