During the time of golden globe and oscar season in 2002 there was a lot of aussie hype involving aussie actors, directors and films. Wanting information I went searching the internet to see what websites were available and there wasn't much out there, with whatever available scattered thru-out many different websites.

I'm a huge fan of film and a great supporter of Australian cinema and I wanted to show collectively how impressive the Australian film industry is both past & present. Why 'aussiewood'? ....Well that was the word all the American press started to call the Australian onslaught upon Hollywood.
